2 of our Industry solutions suit a Power Plant: Power*Share™ and Web*Technician Power*Share enables a Power Plant to share real-time data with their customers to assist them in planning, scheduling and reconciling power production. Power*Share is particularly suited for wind farms to share data with their counterparties, and for co-owned generation facilities to share data with the non-operating co-owners. We gather data securely from the historian system and make it available to the non-operating partner. As alternative power production becomes a greater and greater proportion of the total power availability mix, traders need better real-time information of current production and capacity to produce. The wind farm or generator operator experiences greater customer satisfaction and lower costs through providing you with this service. Web*Technician enables remote technical support by equipment vendors and licensors and other key technology suppliers. For example, the compressor manufacturer can monitor compressors in real-time. Key vibration monitoring and performance curve applications can be integrated with the data to add insight to the operation helping the plant operator to plan maintenance and anticipate failure. Or the power forecasting company can combine general weather forecast data, with local met tower data, current wind turbine production and turbine availability data, and blade positions to generate near-term forecasts of power production and capability on the wind farm. Or the process licensor can monitor the licensed unit in real-time through proprietary simulators and key performance indicators, enabling them to validate their performance warranties, improve plant operations, troubleshoot problems and form an enduring relationship with their licensee.
