File Transfer

Most modern SCADA, DCS or historian systems have a means of exporting files of data. We take advantage of this capability for collecting data by supplying a proprietary software applet that will send a file attached to an e-mail or via ftp protocol to a secure drop box. At our data center, we will scan the e-mail in-box or ftp drop box regularly to check for a new file, and read its content.

Using this approach, large amounts of data can be collected into a file and batched to us periodically, or smaller amounts can be sent at high frequency.
